Unlocking Your Body's Wisdom: A Journey to Holistic Healing with Hope Pedraza

How deeply do you listen to your body, and what is it trying to tell you about your path to healing?

This week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the incredible Hope Pedraza. Hope is a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Reiki Practitioner, Human Design guide, NLP Practitioner, and Hypnotherapist. She is also the founder of inBalance, a Pilates-based fitness franchise, and the host of the Hopeful and Wholesome podcast. With her vast expertise, Hope helps female entrepreneurs and leaders optimize their energy and wellness by integrating functional labs, Human Design, subconscious reprogramming, and energetics.

Throughout our conversation, Hope shared her personal and professional journey—one that beautifully intertwines movement, energy work, and deep healing. Coming from a background in dance and Pilates, she first discovered the power of movement in creating a strong mind-body connection. But as she dove deeper, she realized that true healing extends far beyond physical fitness. She became passionate about uncovering the root causes of health challenges, helping women tune into their intuition and embrace a holistic approach to well-being.

One of the most fascinating topics we explored was the role of functional labs in identifying hidden imbalances in the body. Hope explained that these tests go beyond conventional medical screenings, allowing women to understand how their gut health, hormones, and other internal systems are affecting their overall well-being. Rather than simply treating symptoms, this approach empowers women to take control of their health at a foundational level.

"True healing requires more than physical fixes; it’s about reconnecting to the self—mind, body, and spirit." – Hope Pedraza

We also dove into Human Design, a tool that offers deep insights into our unique energetic blueprint. Hope shared how understanding your Human Design can help you make aligned decisions, optimize your energy, and create a lifestyle that truly supports your well-being. For those unfamiliar with this system, Human Design combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakra system to provide a personalized roadmap to self-awareness and fulfillment. Hope’s insights made me even more curious about how this modality can help us step into our power with greater ease.

Beyond the physical and energetic aspects of healing, we also talked about the subconscious mind’s role in overall well-being. Hope shared how subconscious reprogramming—through techniques like NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and hypnotherapy—can help rewire limiting beliefs that keep us stuck in patterns of stress, burnout, or self-sabotage. The mind and body are deeply interconnected, and by shifting our inner narratives, we can create lasting changes in our health and lives.

One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation was the importance of listening to your body’s messages. Whether it’s fatigue, anxiety, digestive issues, or chronic pain, our bodies are always communicating with us. Instead of suppressing symptoms or pushing through discomfort, Hope encourages us to get curious and ask: What is my body trying to tell me? True healing begins when we slow down, tune in, and give ourselves permission to explore holistic solutions.
